
Marvin A. Heuer, M.D., F.A.A.F.P.
A twice board certified now board eligible Family Practice physician and
Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Heuer is an
internationally recognized research physician with over 30 years experience
in clinical research and pharmaceutical development.
Dr. Heuer is an innovative and accomplished leader who has served as Chief
Scientific Officer of Iovate Health Sciences, Inc., Vice President of
Clinical Research, IntegraMed America; Vice President and Director Worldwide
Clinical Investigation, Therapeutic Unit Research & Development
Pharmaceuticals, SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals (now GlaxoSmithKline);
Vice President Research and Development, Wallace Laboratories (now
MedPointe); and Vice President, Clinical Research Worldwide and Medical
Director, Ayerst Laboratories (now Wyeth), among other notable positions.
In addition to the above, Dr. Heuer has long been active in teaching, publishing, inventing, professional societies, and community service. His outstanding contributions over the years have earned him numerous awards from prestigious institutions such as the American Medical Association (he is a 13-time recipient) and several of the Marquis “Who's Who†series (14 listings).
After graduating cum laude from Mankato State University (MN) in 1969, Dr. Heuer earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his internship at St. John's Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Since then, he has published more than 20 articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed scientific publications and presented more than 15 papers at medical conferences in the U.S. and abroad.
His extensive research experience (including 30 funded projects) encompasses a wide variety of conditions and topics including osteoporosis, overactive bladder/incontinence, candidiasis, urinary tract infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, endometriosis, hypertension, arthritis, diabetes, sinusitis, and migraine headaches as well as hormone replacement therapy, oral contraceptives, and lipid lowering.
Dr. Heuer has developed over 70 patented and patent-pending dietary supplements that improve muscle strength, fat and cholesterol reduction, protein metabolism, hormone balance, mental acuity, joint flexibility, protein metabolism, and many other functions.
